Having lost four hours overnight on only our first night we were under pressure to get back on to our planned schedule and as a result we were not able to make our scheduled stops at Exeter and Honiton. This was despite the horses performing impressively on the major hills between Okehampton and Exeter.
Not only did the Horses Help Heroes team want to thank Exeter and Honiton for the support they have given the challenge to date but also a terrific reception had been planned. It was also regrettable from a fund raising perspective as it has impacted our fund raising on day two.
Having made this regrettable decision we are back on track and should be in Taunton on schedule, where we are looking forward to stopping at Queens College, Taunton.
