We are delighted to have been invited to appear at the Heroes at Highclere day at Highclere Castle (Nr Newbury, Berkshire) in 10 days on Sunday 16 October. We would like to thank the Earl & Countess of Carnarvon for their kind invitation and generous support.
The team are very excited to be going to Highclere Castle, where Downton Abbey is filmed. The event will be an action packed First World War themed day. A great day has been organised not only with appearances from members of the Downton Abbey cast, but also many people in period costumes; Kings Troop, Royal Horse Artillery; flybys by a Spitfire; an aerial display by the Blades; and the Horses Help Heroes carriage amongst other events. We also understand that the Castle will be open and based on this video tour with the Countess of Carnarvon as the guide, it is worth a look.
